Mobilerun lets you control and automate any app on your mobile device. Before you can do that, your phone needs to be connected to the Mobilerun cloud. This guide walks you through the full setup, downloading the Portal APK, configuring it, and logging in, so you can start automating in minutes.

1. Download the Mobilerun Portal APK
Grab the latest Portal APK from GitHub and install it on the phone you want to connect. If Play Protect blocks the install, disable it temporarily and retry.
Step 1: Go to Github on your mobile device which you want to connect to mobilerun cloud (https://github.com/droidrun/mobilerun-portal)
Step 2: Scroll down and click on latest releases (img below)
Step 3: Scroll down to “Assets” and click on portal apk (img below)
Step 4: Once clicked, you can download the file by clicking on “download anyway”
Step 5: Go to playstore, your account setting and click on "Play protect" (img below)

Step 6: Click on the settings icon at the top right and turn the general setting off (img below).
Step 7: Now go to the downloads and install the app, it should get installed now.

Troubleshooting: Android may block the install with a Play Protect warning. This is expected for sideloaded APKs. Turn Play Protect off (steps 7–8) and install the app,
2. Set Up the Portal APK
Sign in, grant the Portal access to your files, and enable the accessibility service so it can drive your device.
Step 1: Open the portal apk and click on “sign in with browser” and sign in using the same email address that you would use for logging in to the mobilerun cloud
Step 2: Enable the all files access
Step 3: On your device go to the “settings” → then “apps” → then “mobilerun portal”
Step 4: On the top right click on the three vertical dots, and then click on “Allow restricted settings”

Step 5: Go back to Mobilerun portal and click on enable accessibility and then turn the toggle on and allow control of your device.
Heads-up: Newer Android versions hide accessibility toggles for sideloaded apps behind “Allow restricted settings.” If the accessibility toggle is greyed out, complete Step 4 first then return and enable it.
3. Log In to the Mobilerun Cloud
With the Portal installed and configured, sign in to the cloud from another device using the same Gmail account.
You are now all set to login to mobilerun cloud from another device and start automating.
Step 1: Go to https://cloud.mobilerun.ai/
Sep 2: Login using the same gmail account that you used for logging in to the portal apk
Step 3: Once you login, the device will automatically appear under the devices in your cloud.
Tip: The device only shows up if you log in with the exact same Google account you used inside the Portal APK. Mismatched accounts are the #1 reason a device fails to appear.
That’s it, your phone is now linked to the Mobilerun cloud and ready to be automated from anywhere. Open cloud.mobilerun.ai on your laptop, pick your device, and start scripting actions against any app.
